Actor Kareena Kapoor, sister Karisma’s Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday was an intimate family affair. Karisma shared a picture with Kareena, nephew Taimur Ali Khan and mother Babita on Instagram.

Sharing the picture, she wrote: “Coz family is everything #happymothersday #strongmoms.” In the picture, Karisma is seen holding on to a restive Taimur in her arms, with Kareena and Babita standing close by. All three were dressed in comfortable summer colours — Karisma and Taimur were seen twinning in whites, while Kareena chose a pale green salwar kameez. Babita was seen in a red and white comfortable combination.

A host of Bollywood celebrities including Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma among others shared their childhood memories with their mothers.

Karisma often shares pictures with her mother and both the daughters of actor Babita never fail to mention how strong-willed their mother has been all her life. Karisma’s hashtag too mentions “strongmoms”.

Kareena, who has completed shooting for Good News, will soon begin work on her next film, Angrezi Medium with Irrfan Khan as her co-star. The film is a sequel to the highly successful Hindi Medium. This film, incidentally, is also Irrfan’s first film, post his cancer treatment. In Good News, Kareena will share the screen with Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.

Later in the year, Kareena is expected to begin work on Karan Johar’s directorial Takht, an ambitious film based on the later Mughal period and reportedly deals with the troubled relations between Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh. The film will reportedly see Ranveer Singh play Dara, Vicky as Aurangzeb and Kareena Kapoor as Jahannara. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
