A lot of people believe in birthday resolutions but Bachchan isn’t the one to wait for a special occasion to resolve to do something new. “I have never understood the philosophy, or that misguided trait of waiting for a year to make a resolution. Why must time be given to a resolve? Once you have resolved something, do it immediately, why wait! I wish to learn some languages, and to be able to play a musical instrument. And all this is already under progress,” he explains. He also recalls that for his last birthday, his granddaughter Aaradhya had gifted him a hand-made greeting card.
