How Shraddha Kapoor prepared for playing a mom in Haseena

Shraddha Kapoor, who plays the titular role in Haseena, will also have a mom’s part in the film. Director Apoorva Lakhia reveals Shraddha’s preparations behind playing a mother.

Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor will be soon be seen playing the lead role in Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming film Haseena. Based on the life of gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena, the film will show Shraddha playing a mom to four kids. The film also features Shraddha’s real-life brother, Siddhanth as Dawood.

In a press statement, Apoorva revealed how the young actor prepared for her scenes with her onscreen kids. “There was a scene which was extended when we saw Shraddha cradle her screen kids to stop the crying. She is really patient and mature for her age. I remember her reading pregnancy books and paying attention to details like the way expectant mothers hold their backs,” the director said.

A source attached to the unit also said that Shraddha’s closeness with her aunt Tejaswi Kolhapure’s daughter Vedika also made it easy for her to play a mother onscreen.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Haseena has been produced by Nahid Khan. The film is slated to release on August 18.
