share a great camaraderie. They seem to get along like a house on fire on the sets of their upcoming film, which is helmed by filmmaker Umesh Shukla.

The friendship between Smriti, who was the latest addition to the film’s starcast, and Asin grew through the course of the shoot. Smriti, who plays Asin’s mother, seems to have developed a genuine fondness for her onscreen daughter. According to the sources, the two have been seen bonding over lunch and conversations between breaks while shooting.

If that’s not all, while they were shooting in Mumbai, Smriti used to get Parsi food from her home, cooked specially for Asin, for lunch. Also recently, when they were shooting in Shimla, Smriti had to drive down to Delhi and when she returned to resume the shoot for the film, she brought back a big box of boondi ladoos specially from Delhi as she knew that they were Asin’s favourite.
