When asked if she was dating Arjun, the Kick actor told Filmfare, “Oh my God! I was just talking to him today. I told him ‘you started it’. And he said, ‘you started it’. He said you gave a comment on it. I said I’ve not uttered anything at all. I’m not dating him. Arjun has been my one of earliest friends along with Sonam (Kapoor).”

“I didn’t know Varun (Dhawan), Ranbir (Kapoor), Ranveer (Singh)... anyone then. After Sonam became my friend, I started hanging out with everyone. Arjun being Sonam’s cousin, we’ve grown to be good friends. It’s just now that people have begun to see a lot there. He’s an intelligent, hard working guy. We respect each other’s friendship. It’s funny how we got linked up. Guess, we don’t have a choice. But it’s entertaining,” the magazine further quoted Jacqueline as saying.

Earlier in August, Jacqueline had told PTI, “Why is everyone asking me. Why don’t you all ask Arjun about this? We were there at the IIFA awards. We stood together for a press conference and everyone started linking us. Arjun finds these link up stories hilarious. I also think it is quite funny. We are focused on our careers right now. We are just great friends and that’s it. So, it is absurd to link us together. I am single.”

While Jacqueline will next be seen with Akshay Kumar in Housefull 3, Arjun is set to romance Kareena Kapoor Khan in R Balki ‘s Ki and Ka.
