Actor Anil Kapoor (right) was recently in the city to promote his upcoming film, Tezz. Talking about shooting the film in the UK, Kapoor says, “I had maximum fun shooting with myself. I enjoy my own company.”

The 52-year-old plays an investigative cop in the film, that also stars actors Ajay Devgn and Kangna Ranaut. “It’s quite surprising that after almost 35 years in the industry, I have never played the role of a detective in a Bollywood film,” he muses.

But, Kapoor says he found a good friend in Ajay Devgn, with whom he shares screen space for the first time. “It is just the beginning of our journey together. I wonder what took people so long to cast us together,” he says.

Kapoor confirms the buzz that he asked director Priyadarshan to increase Ajay’s role in Tezz. “Yes, I did. There were certain portions where I felt if Ajay was there it would work better for the film,” says Kapoor, who will join Devgn in a car race on the F1 track in the city tomorrow. Tezz will release on April 27.
