Irrfan Khan makes rare Twitter appearance to agree with Shah Rukh Khan’s message

Irrfan Khan, who is getting treatment for neuroendocrine tumour in England, made a rare appearance on social media.

Shah Rukh Khan posted an intense new tweet on Wednesday that has resonated with many, including actor Irrfan Khan. He talked about how people who strive for excellence in their field of work usually do not find friends to confide in.

“The strive for excellence is a lonely strife...mediocrity has no dearth of friends. Or as Alfred Lord Tennyson put it...’To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield,’” he wrote in his tweet. Irrfan, who is currently in London for a treatment of his neuroendocrine tumour, also made a rare appearance on Twitter to ‘like’ the tweet.

Irrfan made the shocking revelation about his ill health to his fans through social media in March. “The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated, neuro isn’t always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research. To those who have waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell,” he wrote in a tweet.

Shah Rukh is currently shooting for Zero with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. He has previously worked with Irrfan in Billu.
