“But she didn’t follow it up. Katrina always threatens to be my rakhi sister, but I completely deny that,” laughs Arjun. But, why the denial? “Because she pressurises me to do it (be her rakhi brother). You should ask her why. She made me do it once, literally, at gunpoint. But we are not a typical brother-sister pair. I am not a protective brother who’s like, ‘

Koi dekhega meri bahen ko to thok doonga

(if someone looks at my sister I will hit him).’”

Refuting rumours that Katrina is doing an item number in Ishaqzaade, Arjun insists that they’ll work together in the future. “I will work with her because whatever equation we share shouldn’t concern anyone else,” says the newbie, adding that he always wanted to be a part of Bollywood, with an initial interest in film direction.

Arjun — who plays an uncouth and unkempt character, Parma in Ishaqzaade — would then be with Salman 24/7. “Besides working out, I would cycle with him and he’d keep an eye on my diet,” he says. “A few days ago, I showed him a couple of songs from the film, including Pareshaan. Although we are busy with our films, we message each another whenever possible.”
