Nawazuddin Siddiqui catches Bal Thackeray’s exact mannerisms in new still from biopic

The actor is playing the role of the Shiv Sena leader in a biopic and his transformation is shocking.

A new still from the sets of the upcoming Bal Thackeray biopic has surfaced online and star Nawazuddin Siddiqui looks exactly like late politician. In the still, Nawazuddin has wrapped a shawl around his neck exactly like Thackeray. With one hand firmly placed on his waist and the other pointing towards the sky, he reveals how much effort he is putting into the role.

Photographer Manav Mangalani posted the shooting skill on Instagram.

Nawazuddin was candid during the trailer launch of the film. He had said that he is grateful that he got the opportunity to play the role.

He had said, “It’s an important day for me today as the teaser of the film is launched. I have got the opportunity to play the role of great personality like him, I think any actor would have agreed to play his role.”

Nawazuddin is also busy with his another biopic, Manto, based on the life and times of novelist Saadat Hasan Manto. The film, directed by Nandita Das, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Directed by Abhijit Panse, the Thackeray biopic will be shot in Hindi, Marathi, and dubbed in English. It is slated for release on January 23, 2019.
