The Hindi film industry is constantly experimenting with its themes, and the latest subject to catch the imagination of Bollywood filmmakers is destination wedding.
Student of the Year actor Alia Bhatt is acting in a film based on the theme of destination wedding. The project has been named Shaandaar, and it is being helmed by the Queen director Vikas Bahl. Shahid Kapoor will be seen opposite her in the film.

Alia Bhatt took to Twitter to announce the beginning of the first day shoot for Shaandaar. She wrote, "Today is day 1 of #Shaandaar !!!! Wish me luckkkkkk :D start of a new beautiful journey!!! Wohooooo."

The film will also see Shahid's father Pankaj Kapur in an important role.
