Shibani Dandekar visits Chandigarh with Farhan Akhtar, gets a pic with reel and real Milkha Singh

Farhan Akhtar met Milkha Singh on his Chandigarh visit and he felt like home, the actor reveals. See pics.

Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar, who featured in the titular role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s 2013 biopic on Milkha Singh, recently met the real life athlete when he visited Chandigarh with girlfriend Shibani Dandekar. Both Farhan and Shibani have shared pictures from the meeting.

Sharing a picture, Farhan wrote, “Called Milkha ji to say we’re visiting Chandigarh and would like to meet him. He said ‘tumhara ghar hai. Jab chaaho aao.’ And it’s absolutely true Milkha ji.. you and your family do make it feel like home. Love you all. #MilkhaSingh #NimmiAunty @jeevmilkhasingh #Sonia #KudratSingh @shibanidandekar.”

Shibani, too, posted a picture from their meeting and wrote, “Will the REEL/REAL MILKHA SINGH please stand up! #milkhasingh @faroutakhtar Was so amazing to meet this legend! Milkha Ji is such a sweetheart and has soooo much SWAG!! love him! Farhan you are pretty cool too.”

Titled Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mehra’s film starred Farhan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles and was based on the book, The Race of my Life by Milkha Singh.

Amid rumours of an impending wedding, Farhan and Shibani continue to spend quality time together and even flood the internet with their pictures. While neither have confirmed the wedding dates, an interaction between Farhan and Shibani on Bhumi Pednekar‘s on TapeCast, hinted at a May or April wedding.

Shibani asked the actor in a recorded message, “Hey Farhan, are we getting married in April or May? Can you please let me know because I am very confused.” To which, Farhan said, “I think she is having a lot of fun with a lot of news that is going around currently, about us looking for wedding planners.”

Bhumi, then could not resist and asked, “Are you though (getting married)?”and Farhan said, “It maybe April or April be ‘May’ .”
