Son Chiriya first look: Sushant Singh Rajput’s transformation into a Chambal dacoit is striking

Sushant Singh Rajput shared first look of Abhishek Choubey’s Son Chiriya and he looks raw and earthy. The actor is playing a dacoit in Chambal in the film that also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Bhumi Pednekar.

Sushant Singh Rajput dons a rugged look for Abhishek Choubey’s Son Chiriya. He plays a dacoit in the film.

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput shared the first look of his upcoming film, Son Chiriya, and the MS Dhoni star looks raw and every bit the dacoit he is playing in the film directed by Abhishek Choubey. The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.

Choubey has earlier directed Shahid Kapoor’s Udta Punjab, Madhuri Dixit-Huma Qureshi-Naseeruddin Shah-starrer Dedh Ishqiya and Vidya Balan-starrer Ishqiya.

Sharing the picture on Twitter, Sushant wrote, “SONCHIRIYA #AbhishekChaubey @RSVPMovies @RonnieScrewvala @honeytrehan @psbhumi @BajpayeeManoj @RanvirShorey @ashutoshrana10.” Son Chiraiya revolves around Chambal dacoits and is set in the 1970s

Sushant is currently shooting in Chambal for the film. Talking about his experience in the ravines, he had told IANS, “Shooting for Abhishek Chaubey’s film is on full swing. I came here in Chambal early to do a bit of warm up for the film. Visiting ravines, talking to locals, working on dialect and inflection and a bit of cut-off from everything before the shoot helps keep the right things in perspective.”

He had earlier shared on social media, “Really excited !! Shoot for one of my favourite, #AbhishekChaubey’s Film starts today in chambal. #RonnieScrewvala #BajpayeeManoj #bhumipednekar #RanvirShorey #AshutoshRana #MaheshBalraj.”

Sushant is also working on Tarun Mansukhani’s Drive opposite Jacqueline Fernandez, Sara Ali Khan’s Bollywood debut directed by Abhishek Kapoor Kedarnath, Karan Johar-produced remake of Fault In Our Stars and Sanjay Chauhan’s Chanda Mama Door Ke.
