“The Dirty Picture is the highest pirated film in the history of Indian movies. If we had not come out with the DVD, then the piracy would have continued to generate money,” says producer of the film, Ekta Kapoor.

Vidya also remarked, “We have wonderful memories of this film and I would be glad to watch it on DVD.”
