Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria’s Student of the Year 2 leaked day after release

Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria’s Student of the Year 2 leaked on TamilRockers soon after its release on Friday.

Student of the Year 2, starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, has fallen prey to piracy. The film is among the latest releases to land on torrent site TamilRockers, as reported by Indian Express. The film hit theatres on Friday.

Earlier, Marvel film Avengers: Endgame leaked on several websites a day before its release in the last week of April. The film had released two days earlier in China before its release on April 26 in India. However, it went on to break several records and has already collected ₹400 crore in India.

Student of the Year 2, directed by Punit Malhotra of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein fame, opened at ₹12 crore at the domestic box office amid negative reviews. Raja Sen of Hindustan Times said the film lacked drama, conflict and narrative tension, with dialogues written for mannequins.

The film also stars Aditya Seal, Samir Soni, Gul Panag, Manoj Pahwa and Manjot Singh. Made under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, SOTY 2 revolves around a school competition that shows the lead cast competing against their rivals in dance, kabaddi and racing. The film boasts of a few dance numbers such as The Jawaani Song, which is a recreation of hit number Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani from 1972 film Jawani Diwani and Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan.

Alia Bhatt, who made her debut with the original, has performed a special dance number titled The Hook Up Song in the film. Hollywood actor Will Smith also has an appearance in the film.
