Varun Dhawan, Nargis Fakhri together in Main Tera Hero

Nargis Fakhri hasn’t returned to the big screen since her Bollywood debut, Rockstar (2011). But now we have got to know that the model-turned-actor will star as Varun Dhawan’s heroine in his father David Dhawan’s next, Main Tera Hero. Ileana D’Cruz is already on board as the other female lead.

“In the film, Nargis’ role is very important. After casting Ileana, the makers were looking for another young and fresh face. Nargis fit the part perfectly,” says an industry insider. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Main Tera Hero’s release date has been locked for April 4 next year. The film goes on the floors this June. Despite repeated attempts, David Dhawan couldn’t be reached for a comment.

The film will be the first project where Varun will be teaming up with his filmmaker father.
