Though red and pink are traditional colours for weddings, a bride who dares to wear blue is not afraid to break the mould.

Though red and pink are traditional colours for weddings, a bride who dares to wear blue is not afraid to break the mould. “Jewelled tones of navy blue in my perfect bride of this season symbolise trust and loyalty,” says designer Manav Gangwani. The antique gold zardozi stands out beautifully against the blue backdrop.

How you can work it
When you break the mould, why not go the whole hog? Celebrity stylist Eshaa Amin recommends going adventurous with your jewellery. “Try out baroque or cocktail drops/chandeliers of diamonds set with emeralds and ruby and make your hair super-sleek.”

Makeup to go
A clean blue liner with shiny skin tone, peachy lips and lots of highlighter, go well with this look, says Vidya Tikari.

Wedding wow Wear light jewellery that doesn’t overshadow your ensemble.
