Engineering and construction major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) on Thursday said it has won four orders worth Rs 452 crore for projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The company secured Rs 226-crore order from NTPC for Simhadri Coal Handling Plant, while the other three contracts worth Rs 226 crore were bagged from Public Health and Municipal Engineering Department of Andhra Pradesh (AP), L&T said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The NTPC contract would include design, engineering, supply and installation of 2 x l600 TPH coal handling plant for Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project (STTP) in AP, a Stage-II (2x500 MW) plant to be completed in 39 months, L&T said .
Earlier, L&T had constructed the coal handling plant of Simhadri Super Thermal Power Project Stage-1 in 2002 prior to bagging this repeat order for enhancing the installed capacity of STPP from 1000 MW to 2000 MW by adding 2 units of 500 MW each.
The Rs 226-crore order from AP government includes a Rs 93-crore order for engineering, procurement and construction of an underground drainage scheme for Nizamabad township to be completed in 24 months.
The second order worth Rs 88 crore from AP government is for engineering, procurement and construction of water supply improvement scheme to Nellore scheduled for completion in 18 months.
The third order of Rs 45 crore is to provide safe drinking water to Rayadurg in Ananthapur and involves construction of water treatment plant, reservoirs and pumping stations to be completed in 15 months, the engineering firm said.
