Officers of the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, which is probing the Satyam fraud case, on Sunday recorded the statements of Price Waterhouse's former executives S Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas.
An eight-member SFIO team, which included a woman officer, arrived at 10 am at the Chanchalguda Jail, where the accused are lodged, and grilled them for over four hours in the presence of their counsel Mastan Naidu, jail sources said.
PW's counsel said his clients co-operated with the investigating officers. "My clients would cooperate with the investigating authorities and they have already surrendered their passports," Naidu said.
"The SFIO team had prepared a questionnaire for the PW partners. Most of their questions were focused on the the role played by the auditors," a source said.
However, it is not clear whether the SFIO would seek more time from the court to record the statements of the accused.
According to sources, it is believed that the SFIO team would return to Delhi today. A local court on Friday had granted two days to the SFIO to examine and record the statements of the accused.
