How to check if you have a pending traffic challan. Step by step guide
Follow these steps to check if you have a pending e-challan for violating traffic rules.
After receiving a challan for traffic rule violations, many people forget to check the pending payments or delay in paying the fine. This might invite serious consequences, including legal action and imprisonment.
The Motor Vehicles Act was recently amended to ensure road safety violations are dealt with in a strict manner. Imposing a hefty fine and utilising special technology to track speed limits, traffic signal violations, parking, etc have ensured better monitoring on the road. People who flout these rules are sent an e-challan with details shared on text message. In cases where the information is not passed on to the user, it is advised to check for pending challan.
