Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia dominate mid-size sedan sales in November 2025
Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia led India’s mid-size sedan sales in November 2025, while Hyundai dominated exports.
According to the latest wholesale data released by SIAM, the Volkswagen Virtus led the mid-size sedan segment in India for November 2025. Volkswagen dispatched 2,225 units of the Virtus during the month, up from 1,457 units in November 2024. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 52.7%.

Virtus led November sales, and Salvia came second
The second position went to the Skoda Slavia. For November 2025, SIAM has combined the domestic figures of the Slavia with the limited-run Octavia RS, which was capped at 100 units for India. Together, the Slavia–Octavia tally stood at 1,214 units, compared to 1,131 units in November 2024.

Hyundai took the third spot with the Verna, which recorded 709 units in November 2025. The sedan saw a decline from the 1,213 units sold in the same month last year, resulting in a 41.6% year-on-year drop.

In fourth place was the Honda City. Honda reported 660 domestic units in November 2025, down from 709 units a year earlier. This marks a 6.9% decline. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, which posted 597 units in November 2024, is no longer produced and is therefore not part of the 2025 rankings.
Exports show a different story
Exports show a different trend for the segment. Hyundai led the export chart with the Verna, shipping 6,475 units in November 2025, up from 4,031 units in November 2024. This represents a 60.6% increase.
Volkswagen followed in second place on the export front. The Virtus accounted for 2,259 exported units in November 2025, compared to 1,238 units in November 2024, marking an 82.5% rise.

The Honda City ranked third in exports with 1,022 units in November 2025. This is down from the 1,320 units exported in November 2024, reflecting a 22.6% year-on-year decrease.
