Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal has cleared a list of 98 villages in different districts of the state for a sanitation programme under the World Bank-aided scheme of the rural water supply and sanitation department.

The government will install septic tanks in these villages that would cater to 13,599 households under the scheme at a cost of Rs 12.24 crore, a spokesman said here on Sunday.
