Captain reminds Dasuya voters of govt's broken promises

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president capt Amarinder Singh today reminded Dasuya voters about the ruling government's broken promises.

Addressing a public meeting in support of the party candidate for the by-poll, Arun Mickey Dogra in Dasuya Saturday, capt Amarinder dispelled the notion that the by-poll was inconsequential.

"The outcome may not have any bearing on the survival of the government, but you can convey a firm message to the government that it has failed you," he said.

The PCC president pointed out that the alliance had failed in providing round the clock electricity to people.

He also referred to the problem of water in the Kandi belt. He said, people were not getting drinking water in this area.

Capt Amarinder stressed on the government's failure in fulfilling its promise of providing an unemployment allowance to the 47 lakh unemployed youth?

Referring to the chief minister Parkash Singh Badal's claims in the assembly that there were no vendetta cases he remarked, "It is so easy to deny it in the House, but the fact is that they play vendetta politics and victimise the Congress workers."

Among others present on the occasion included local MP Santosh Chaudhry, senior leaders Kewal Dhillon, Rana KP, Rana Gurjeet, OP Soni, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Sangat Singh Giljian, Love Kumar Goldy, shyam Sunder Arora, Harminder Gill, Amarjit Singh Samra, Satnam Singh Kainth, Ramesh Chander Dogra, Chaudhry Santokh and others.
