The CBSE will soon upload answer keys of the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) exam on its website and invite objections. the move comes after two questions in the chemistry section of Sunday’s examination were found incorrect.
Students would now be able to register their grievance against the questions.
As reported, the two questions in the multiple-choice paper had no option as the ‘right answer’.
Prakash Gupta, a student from the city, said that eight mark s were at stake in an examination in which every mark counted and affected one’s rankings.
“These questions should be not be considered. I would definitely re gister my grievance before the board,” he said.
CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi confirmed that the board would soon upload the answer keys with list of specific guidelines. Objection ag ainst questions that appeared in the paper can be sent to the board.
“It will duly be considered by our expert panel,” he said, confirming that a circular conveying the procedure of uploading of answer keys and inviting objections would be out before the evaluation of the optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets.
Last Friday, the Punjab and Haryana high court had also directed chairman of the board to upload the key within one month to ensure that corrections are made before evaluation of the answer sheets. Priya Singh, a student from Zirakpur, said that she wasted nearly 10-15 minutes on the incorrect questions.
“Fearing negative marking, I left these questions. But now that I know these questions were incorrect, I deserve bonus marks for them,” she said.

Chandigarh-based student Anjali Garg said that the board must not allow the incor rect questions to affect their rankings.
Local academician Arvind Goyal, on whose petition the high cour t issued the direction, said, “I am sure that the CBSE exper ts will take note of these wrong questions and give bonus marks as they had done in case of JEE (main), which had as many as f o ur wrong answers.”
The AIMPT paper had four sets of question papers in AIPMT, each set having the same questions but with different serial numbers.
The incorrect questions were numbered 52 and 170 in set R, 136 and 158 in set S, 1 and 10 in set Q and 85 and 61 in set T.
