The Bassi Pathana police on Tuesday registered a case against Jagdeep Singh alias Neta on the basis of a complaint by Makhan Singh of Kajjalmajra who alleged that his daughter was kidnapped from school by Neta on August 2, by making a promise of marriage to her.

The whereabouts of the girl and the accused are not known and investigating officer Kulwant Singh said that the case had been registered at the Bassipathana police station.
