The Punjab government has issued directions to all departments to submit their response to the court cases related to the department to the finance department well on time.
According to an official spokesperson, directions have been issued to all departments that files pertaining to court cases would be sent to the finance department at least 15 days prior to the date of hearing.
The spokesperson said the court cases, where the policy of the finance department had been challenged or the subject of the court case entailed financial implications, the replies to be filed by the departments should be approved by the finance department.
Directions in this regard have been issued to all financial commissioners, principal secretaries and administrative secretaries of all departments.
