Walgad, who held a meeting via videoconferencing with the officers, asked them to ensure effective implementation of the poll code.

He directed the district election officers to hold district level meetings with all political parties and make them aware about the model code.

Polling to the 90-member Haryana assembly will be held on October 15 and counting will take place on October 19.

He said voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) facility will be available in six assembly constituencies -Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Thanesar, Gurgaon and Rohtak - so as to provide a slip to voters bearing voting information after they exercise their franchise.

Walgad said this time the 'single window system' would be implemented in all assembly constituencies to provide all election-related services.
