Indian National Lok Dal MLAs Abhay Chautala and Krishan Panwar appeared before the Haryana lokayukta here on Friday to submit evidence in a case pertaining to compact discs (CDs) showing two Congress leaders allegedly seeking illegal gratification in lieu of getting change of land use (CLU) certificates and other permissions.
The INLD leaders had submitted four CDs and complaints separately on January 28, 2014, following which the lokayukta had asked them to give their respective evidence on Friday. While Chautala submitted a CD allegedly showing Congress' Barwala MLA, Ram Niwas Ghorela, Panwar submitted a CD of chief parliamentary secretary Vinod Bhayan and alleged that the Congress MLAs were seen seeking illegal gratification for getting CLU and other permissions.
INLD state president Ashok Arora, who had submitted a CD allegedly showing Congress MLA Jarnail Singh seeking money, and INLD MLA Ram Pal Majra, who had submitted a CD allegedly showing health minister Rao Narender Singh seeking money in lieu of a CLU and other permissions, did not come on Friday and sought another date.
Later, interacting with newspersons, Chautala alleged that these CDs clearly showed the four Congress MLAs seeking money in lieu of getting CLU and other permissions and that they had demanded a police case against them. Chautala said they had also urged the lokayukta for a fair probe. He said that earlier, the lokayukta had done justice in the case of another Congress chief parliamentary secretary (CPS), Ram Kishan Fauji, whose CD the INLD had released earlier, and against whom the lokayukta, justice (retd) Pritam Pal, had on January 20, 2014, recommended registration of a criminal case.

{{/usCountry}}The INLD leaders flayed the Haryana government's move to send back its reference to the lokayukta for reexamining its report. "There is no provision in the Lokayukta Act for any such reexamination," Chautala said and added that since a large number of Congress leaders was alleged to have been involved in serious criminal cases, chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had no moral grounds to stay in the chair.
