The proposed income for 2015-16 is Rs 76.81 crore and the proposed expenditure is Rs 75.80 crore. Also, the opening balance on April 1, 2015 is expected to be Rs 1.25 lakh where as closing balance on March 31 is being pegged at Rs 1.02 crore.

The proposed income for 2014-15 was Rs 75.13 crore and while the proposed expenditure was Rs 74.42 crore.

The house will decide on the offer made by Payal Sodhi of 'People for Animals' where she has agreed to catch and sterlise dogs at Rs 470 per dog. But Sodhi first wants to conduct 'My Friend' programme at community centres to raise awareness about the upkeep of dogs and is demanding the MC to make necessary arrangements, before initiating the sterlisation process.

Three tenders for employing a new contractor to catch stray dogs for conducting sterilisation have failed so far. The last contractor left the work in October last year. No one has come forward to take up the job after that.

The issue of hiking park maintenance charges given to park development societies will be discussed.

A proposal mooted by mayor Upinder Kaur Walia, Tony and Khan for allocating sanitation workers based on population of ward will also be discussed. It is expected to benefit Pinjore, Kalka and Barwala areas.
