One person was killed and three other sustained multiple serious injuries after their car collided with a canter on the National Highway No 1, here on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Harsh Kumar, a resident of Sector 8 here.The injured were rushed to the Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College.
The victims were travelling towards Karnal from Kurukshetra side. Police sources said that prima facie it seemed that a tyre of the car burst due to unspecified reason and then it collided with a canter. After that it rammed into the divider.

Eyewitnesses said that Harsh died on the spot.
