The department of Gandhian and peace studies in Panjab University (PU) will conduct entrance test and interview for 29 seats of MA on July 8.
A spokesperson said applications for the same could be submitted with the department by July 2 till 5 pm and written test and interview would be held on July 8 from 10 am onwards.
The aptitude test consists of 40 marks and candidates will be admitted after the final merit: 60% academic and 40% aptitude test.
Anyone having 50% marks in graduation can appear for the aptitude test.
However, a candidate having BA degree in any of the subjects - Gandhian studies, economics, political science, history, ancient Indian history, culture and archaeology, sociology, geography, women studies, human rights, philosophy and police administration - with 45% marks is eligible for the test.
The department also runs MPhil and PhD courses. For MPhil 10 seats are available and seats for PhD courses will be announced later.
The last date for submission of forms for MPhil through PU website is July 12 and entrance test will be conducted on July 27.
The admissions for PhD will be done on score of a student in NET examinations or an internal test for which dates will be same as of MPhil.
