Science Congress ends with participation of 800 delegates from country, abroad

The first international and third Indian Psychological Science Congress concluded here at Post Graduate Government College (PGGC-46) with the participation of over 800 delegates from across the country and abroad on Wednesday.

The first international and third Indian Psychological Science Congress concluded here at Post Graduate Government College (PGGC-46) with the participation of over 800 delegates from across the country and abroad on Wednesday.

The two-day conference was jointly organised by the National Association of Psychological Science (NAPS) and the Psychology Department of the PGGC-46. A total of 302 research papers were presented during 24 sessions. Besides, 242 papers were presented through posters.

One of the highlights of the event was the Life Time Achievement Award given to NK Chadha, head, department of psychology, University of Delhi.

Rajesh Kumar, organising secretary and HoD of psychology department of PGGC-46, said, "Most of the papers were received from Delhi, Shimla, J&K, Bangalore, Aligarh, Agra, Chennai, Mumbai, Noida, Bhubneshwar, Pune, Jaipur, Bulandsahar and Khurja. Some of the delegates were from UK, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Fiji and Iran.

NAPS president Roshan Lal said, "The theme of this congress was 'psychological well-being', which is as important to an individual as good physical health. A psychologically sound person performs well at his work place.
