Punjab BJP leader Shakti Sharma here on Friday assumed charge as the chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) in the presence of industries minister Madan Mohan Mittal.

Mittal said on the occasion that Punjab was now on the threshold of industrialisation as major industrial players in the country had showed keen interest to invest in the state at the recently held Progressive Punjab summit in Mohali.
He stated that the state government was committed to giving impetus to small and medium industries.
