Union sports minister Sarbananda Sonowal will visit hockey legend Balbir Singh Senior, 92-year-old triple Olympic hockey gold medallist.
Recently, Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal recommended Balbir’s name for the Bharat Ratna. In the wake of the Bharat Ratna recommendation, speculations are rife that sports ministry will also recommend him for the award.
