Tax department inspects three outlets of Gopal Sweets

The UT excise and taxation department conducted a raid at three outlets of Gopal Sweets, in Chandigarh, on Tuesday. The teams under supervision of RC Bhalla, UT assistant excise and taxation commissioner, raided the outlets in Sectors 8, 15 and 35; the raid lasted over five hours.

Giving details, RC Bhalla, said that they conducted the raid after getting a tip-off that the sweet shop was not giving complete details of their sales and neither were they keeping office copies of the bills given to customers.

According to officials, the teams seized important documents related to the business transactions, during the raid.
