Tricksters snatch Rs 15,000 from man outside bank in Sector 47

Two unidentified people snatched away Rs 15,000 from a vegetable vendor outside a bank in Sector 47 on Monday and fled away.

The victim, Kanhaiya Lal, a resident of Ramdarbar, had gone to the Bank of India branch in Sector 47 to deposit Rs 15,000 around 1 pm.

As Lal did not know how to fill up the deposit slip, he was looking for help, when two people offered to fill up the slip for him.

They took Kanhaiya out of the bank and filled up the form. The duo then asked Lal to show the money he was carrying. As soon as he took out `15,000, the accused snatched the money and fled.

The police have procured the CCTV footage of the bank to identify the accused and investigations are on. A case has been registered on the complaint of Kanhaiya Lal.
