The police arrested two persons on charges of sexual harassment of two girls, including a minor, in separate incidents on Saturday.
The accused in the first incident was identified as Sandeep Kumar, 28, a resident of Railway Colony, Mauli Jagran.
Station house officer (SHO) of Manimajra police station, inspector Charanjit Singh Virk, said the accused cornered the 24-year-old victim at a secluded place in Mauli Jagran when she was on her way back home and molested her. She narrated the matter to her father on reaching home.
The father then approached the police and lodged a complaint, after which the accused was arrested.
A case under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354-A (punishment for sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered.
The accused was produced in a local court and sent to judicial custody.
In another incident, a minor girl alleged that Raja, resident of Ramdarbar, stopped her near the Ramdarbar market and passed lewd remarks at her. Having identified the accused as a neighbour, the teenager ran back home and spoke to her parents, who filed a police complaint.

The accused was arrested and produced before a local court that sent him to judicial custody.
