The Bangalore Rural Lok Sabha was created as a part of restructuring of parliamentary constituencies in 2008. Munirathna won Rajarajeshwarinagar constituency in 2018. H.D. Ranganath won Kunigal in 2018 and BJP's M Krishnappa won from Bangalore South. Congress' B.Shivanna won from Anekal. JD(S)'s A. Manjunath won from Magadi in 2018. H.D. Kumaraswamy is the sitting MLA from Ramanagara and D K Shivakumar won from Kanakapura in 2018. H D Kumara Swamy also won from Channapatna in 2018.

HA Iqbal Hussain of Indian National Congress wins Ramanagaram seat
HA Iqbal Hussain of Indian National Congress got a total of 87,690 votes and secured Ramanagaram seat under Bangalore Rural constituency. HA Iqbal Hussain won the seat with a margin of 10715 votes against JD(S) rival candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy. In this election, Nikhil Kumaraswamy has secured 76975 votes.

Congress’ HD Ranganath wins from Kunigal
Indian National Congress’ HD Ranganath won the Kunigal seat under Bangalore Rural constituency. He received a total of 74724 votes and secured the seat while competing against BJP’s D Krishna Kumar.
