The Chandigarh Women’s Ice Hockey team clinched a bronze medal at the Khelo India winter games by defeating Himachal Pradesh team through a thrilling golden goal in extra time. The match ended 3–3 at the end of regulation time. Jasmine Saini scored one goal for Chandigarh, while captain Gunika Kaur netted three goals, including the decisive golden goal in the 3rd minute of extra time, sealing a historic victory for the team. The team was coached by Chetanpreet Singh and Gaurav Raheja. The team was supported by the Ice Hockey Association of Chandigarh and the Ice Hockey Association of India.
