Addressing the rally, Mann said that the state government has taken action against corruption allegedly done by Congress’ cabinet ministers during its tenure from 2012-2022.

“We have taken action against several Congress leaders for possessing disproportionate assets during their tenure. We have already prepared a list, which is long enough. The documentation has been done to take action against corrupt leaders in coming days,” Mann said while addressing the gathering at Bundala village of Phillaur assembly segment.

Mann alleged that the Congress leaders looted taxpayers’ money during their tenure and filled their bank accounts besides making other assets.

“The sad part is that we confiscated the money counting machine from its cabinet minister from Hoshiarpur, which stands testimony to the corruption the Congress leaders had done in their five-year rule. The people will see how the AAP has eradicated corruption from the Punjab AAP government by arresting corrupt leaders and officers,” he said.

Bajwa slams Kejriwal for being ‘hypocrite’

Jalandhar Leader of the opposition in Punjab, Partap Singh Bajwa, on Wednesday, slammed AAP’s national convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for being a hypocrite for spending crores of rupees on the beautification of his official residence.

Bajwa said as per reports published in the various sections of the media, Kejriwal spent nearly 45 crore on the beautification of his official bungalow.

Bajwa said Kejriwal has been caught on the wrong foot.

“Kejriwal spent nearly 10 crore on the beautification of his camp office, which kind of looks like a ‘sheesh mahal’, Bajwa said.

“Kejriwal used to boast that he and his party leaders would not take cars, bungalows and even the security as it would put an additional burden on the state exchequer as it was public money. However, now Kejriwal and the likes of his party colleagues have forgotten everything and are splurging public money on their shenanigans, Bajwa added.
