His anticipatory bail application was turned down by a Panchkula court on May 3. Dahiya’s fresh postings orders were not issued on Thursday.

The IAS officer was named as an accused in a first information report (FIR) registered in April by the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act for allegedly seeking illegal gratification to clear the payments of the director of Fatehabad based company, Gramin Shiksha Private Limited, Rinku Manchanda.

The company was engaged by the Haryana Skill Development Mission, which is under the administrative control of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, with Dahiya as its administrative secretary. The officer was also questioned by the ACB sleuths.

Development and Panchayats additional chief secretary Anil Malik was given the additional charge of the Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, while Urban Local Bodies commissioner and secretary Vikas Gupta was given the additional charge of the Kurukshetra Development Board member secretary.
