Municipal corporation on Wednesday invited the city residents to an open competition to design the logo for “Ludhiana Urban Water and Waste Water Management Limited”.

MC commissioner Shena Aggarwal, along with officials of World Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), made the announcement at the MC’s zone D office on Wednesday.
The World Bank, team led by Srinivas Podipireddy, was in the city for a meeting with MC officials regarding the project.
The company has been incorporated for improving the water supply infrastructure under the 24x7 canal-based water supply project funded by World Bank and AIIB. The company will take over the operations and maintenance cell of MC and will be responsible for the maintenance of water supply system of the city.
MC officials said that entries for the competition can be submitted by emailing them to ludhianawml@gmail.com, along with the participants’ contact details by May 31. The winning entry will be used as the company’s logo and 50 shortlisted entries will get a certificate of appreciation.
Along with the logo design, the residents can also submit suggestions for the company’s name.
