Uttarakhand Police on Wednesday arrested a person accused of killing Baba Tarsem Singh, dera kar seva chief of the Nanakmatta Sahib Gurdwara in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district, from Naraungabad village of Tarn Taran district.

The accused, Sarabjit Singh, a resident of village Mianwind of Tarn Taran district, was a fugitive, since the high-profile murder that took place in March 2024.
He was at a gurdwara at Naurangabad village, when Uttarakhand Police conducted a raid there and arrested him. The police took him to Uttarakhand.
He was booked under sections 302 (murder), 120b (criminal conspiracy) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
