She alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi merely aimed to play politics at Jantar Mantar instead of genuinely caring about students in ally-governed states.

She clarified that she never called the protesters at Jantar Mantar as terrorists.

Addressing a press conference in Panipat, Gupta alleged that the opposition party used lies solely to disrupt parliamentary operations.

“Earlier they asked for the resignation of the education minister. It was done. Then they sought for discussion on NEET (paper leak), the government agreed and brought in a stringent law. Now, when they sought the presence of the home minister, the government agreed and asked for cooperation to bring the House in order,” she added.

The BJP leader also hit out at the Jharkhand government for using force on the peaceful protesters.

When asked about her earlier statement regarding the Jantar Mantar protest, Gupta clarified that she never claimed that terrorists were present at the protest site.
