Haryana energy minister Anil Vij has sustained fractures in both his legs after he slipped at his residence in Ambala Cantonment.
The incident is said to have happened on Monday. Following the incident, doctors have put plaster on both his legs and advised him to rest.
This came to light after a video of him went viral on social media showing him sitting in a chair, with both legs in plaster on a table, while he was humming the song “Chal Ri Sajni Ab Kya Soche”.
On Tuesday, BJP national secretary OP Dhankar met the minister at his residence to wish him a speedy recovery.
Vij is unlikely to attend the assembly’s budget session, which is scheduled to begin on February 20.
He might have to continue with the official work from his residence for the next few weeks, sources said.
