“I am in favour of the one-person, one-post principle within the organisation. Adhering to this principle, I had resigned from the post of deputy speaker of the Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly,” said Kumar.

HPCC has been lying defunct since November last year after party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge dissolved the committee on November 6, 2024, along with the district and block units.

He further informed that after the appointment of district presidents, block presidents will also be appointed.

Hinting at rewarding loyalty, Kumar said, “Important responsibilities are being given to those leaders and workers in the organisation who will dedicate their full time to the organisation’s work.”

He said that the organisation will soon be seen in a new form in the state, adding that a complete blueprint for the same has been prepared.

Vinay Kumar furhter said that the Congress will also field party workers in the panchayat and municipal elections who are associated with the organisation and have been working for it.
