The Punjab BJP on Saturday announced the appointment of 16 district presidents with the approval of party president Nitin Nabin.
The list was shared on social media by Punjab BJP chief Kewal Singh Dhillon, who asked the new appointees to further strengthen the party organisation.
“I am confident that you will take up this important responsibility with complete dedication and hard work. Your contributions will certainly be significant in further strengthening the organisation, leading the workers, and conveying the BJP’s policies to the people,” Dhillon said in a message to the new district chiefs.
The new appointees included Kanwar Bir Singh Manzil (Amritsar Rural-2, Majitha), Salil Kapoor (Amritsar Urban), Narinder Garg Neeta (Barnala), Gaurav Kakkar (Faridkot), Sukhwinder Singh Kaka Kamboj (Fazilka), Yogesh Sapra (Hoshiarpur Rural), Satish Thakur Bawa (Hoshiarpur Urban), Ashok Sarin Hickey (Jalandhar Urban), Manmeet Singh Vicky (Jalandhar Rural North), Jagbir Singh Brar (Jalandhar Rural South), Chetan Suri (Kapurthala) and Sunil Moudgill (Ludhiana Urban).
The Punjab assembly polls are due early next year.
