Punjab ZP polls: AAP 's victory show in Sangrur, Barnala

Out of 18 zila parishad zones of Sangrur, the ruling party secured 15 and of the 162 panchayat samiti zones of Sangrur, 113 went to AAP, 22 to Congress.

AAP was comfortably victorious in Sangrur and Barnala districts. Out of 18 zila parishad zones of Sangrur, the ruling party secured 15, Congress two while one went to an independent. Of 162 panchayat samiti zones of Sangrur, 113 went to AAP, 22 to Congress, 11 to SAD and 16 to independents.

AAP supporters celebrate win of party’s candidate in Sangrur. The ruling party was leading in majority of zones across zila parishads and panchayat samitis on Wednesday.

In Barnala zila parishad arena, out of 10 zones, eight went to AAP and two to SAD. The scenario was no different in panchayat samitis as AAP bagged 41 seats, SAD 13, Congress seven and independents four.

In Dhuri, represented by chief minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP was leading on 17 block samiti zones, followed by Congress (1).

In Lehra, AAP was ahead with 12 block samiti zones, followed by independents (2) and SAD (1). In Dirba, AAP was comfortably ahead with 15 block samiti zones, followed by SAD (2) and independent (1). In Sunam, AAP lead with nine zones, followed by three each of independents and Congress.
