Punjab government on Thursday transferred additional chief secretary (ACS) Anurag Verma from the post of financial commissioner, revenue, rehabilitation and disaster management, replacing him with Jaspreet Talwar.

Verma has now been posted as ACS agriculturally and Farmers’ Welfare, replacing Arshdeep Thind. He has also been given additional charge of ACS Transport, replacing Varun Roojam, who held the charge in addition to his existing responsibilities.

Thind has now been posted as administrative secretary, rural developments and panchayati raj. Verma was recently questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Suntec change-of-land-use case.
