Yoga aspirant coaches on Monday alleged that the Haryana government has released appointment letters for Yoga coaches to their ‘favourites’ before the last date of filing the form for the job.
Addressing a press conference here, educational activist Shweta Dhull and the Yoga aspirants alleged that the last date of filing the form for Yoga coach was April 6 and the appointment letters were given on March 29 this year.
“The recruitment drive should have been conducted by the sports department but the Haryana government has changed the policy and assigned the task to Ayush department. It seems that the state government has given the appointment letters to their loved ones and students who pursued a Yoga diploma from the National Institute of Sports are waiting for their appointment. Moreover, the minimum qualification to have the Yoga diploma was also exempted,” Dhull added.
She alleged that the state government had opened the recruitment drive for 1,000 contractual Yoga instructors in 2018 and filed 50% of the posts.
“Nearly a year and a half back, the government relieved these instructors of their duties. Their re-appointment is yet to be started. Moreover, the state government has failed to recruit Yoga teachers in schools and assistant professors in colleges,” Dhull added.
