According to Gupta, the information technology department conducted a detailed review under Priority Area-21 of Deregulation Exercise Phase-II, covering 95 key services across 18 departments.
The study assessed the time taken from the submission of applications to their final disposal and identified measures to streamline the process.
The Single Window System is an online service delivery portal that enables citizens and businesses to apply for licences, permits, approvals and other clearances through a single portal.
Based on the study’s recommendations, the government said it has shortened the processing time for 84 services, while some services are now being delivered instantly.
Gupta said the initiative would improve ease of doing business, enhance transparency and make government services more citizen-centric through digital governance.
